Ming’s association began as a medical student on rotation from St Vincent’s Hospital in 1999. Over the years, Ming has worked at GVH in the medical unit, emergency department and as a general surgical registrar.
After completing urology training in Melbourne, Ming spent several years overseas at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge, and Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto where he completed a Society of Urological Oncology Fellowship. During this time he gained experience in robotic assisted surgery, and complex urological oncology surgery including retroperitoneal lymph node dissection, large kidney cancers, radical cystectomy and prostatectomy. Ming began working as an urologist in Shepparton in 2013.
Ming has an honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer position with the University of Melbourne. He has completed Masters of Surgery and Doctor of Medical Science postgraduate degrees. His research interests include active surveillance for prostate cancer and imaging techniques for prostate cancer.
